The Collective:

Inkspoon aims to foster greater communal efforts and network like-minded craftspeople interested in creating change in the clothing design industry. Thus maintaining the practise of making rad art. The following artists collaborate with Inkspoon by contributing their art and designs to the infinitly squishy process:

Lauren Iredale
As Production Manager, designer and printer extraordinaire, Lauren has a hand in all aspects of Inkspoon. She recently graduated from Emily Carr Institute of Art and Design with a degree in Integrated Media. When she is not silk-screening, she channels her creativity through video art, adventures in sewing and a newly rediscovered delight in drawing and painting. She resides at The Spoon on the Sunshine Coast and grows bonsai poodles in her spare time.

Blake Wrinkles ::
Blake Wrinkles fiddles around at being a director, animator, editor, compositor, cinematographer, audio engineer, programer, musician, clothing designer, sculptor, welder, architect, and orchestrator of immersive interactive environments.
Additionally, he serves as Inkspoon's Design Co-Ordinator. He ensures that Inkspoon consists of artists with the liberty to spontaneously freestyle new designs at any point in the production process, ensuring the freshest squishiest results possible.

L. Basil McMahon ::www.undrtheweather.org
As the Squish Master of Inkspoon, Basil maintains proper squish levels and works hard to ensure that no member of Inkspoon ever prints too cleanly or sensibly (and thereby jeopardizing the squish input variables). The job is more demanding than it sounds.

Of the many dozens of times Basil has stayed up overnight in the last couple of years, some 85% of them have probably been spent screenprinting. When he’s not in nocturnal mode, he paints murals, builds installation art and helps throw down participatory public events. He has done design, campaign, and outreach work for multiple community organizations around Vancouver and printed for the 2006 OQOQO Local Artist’s Series. He lives and organizes presently in Oakland, Mt. Elphinstone and the Republic of East Van.

Alastair Knowles
Trotting along the path to a commerce degree while an inky hand sloshes about in a pail of visual arts, Alastair looks after Inkspoon finances as numbers roll about. An amphibious sailor he hoists sails in the waters around Vancouver, moving between the studio homes of fellow Spooners in both the city and on the Sunshine Coast.
Having spent the majority of his life in Winnipeg, Alastair continues to operate an environmental protection company there, Trees For Travel, that he began in his teens.
Keen on collective art projects, ink, the puzzle of numbers and good cheer.

Meghan Budd
Meghan is part of Inkspoon’s dynamic print team. As the studio fairy she keeps things light and fun…and always squishy. She tours the summer festivals with the gang and always has fun making sales and meeting people wherever she is. Meghan is currently studying at UBC in the Education Department, becoming a Teacher. In the future she hopes to inspire creativity and consciousness in younger generations.
